Physical Therapy Aide info

Physical Therapy Aide classes are held Days, Afternoons and Evenings.

The Physical Therapy Aide program familiarizes students with theory and hands-on clinical skills necessary for entry-level positions as a Physical Therapy Aide. The program prepares students to be able to assist the physical therapist in clinical office procedures and physical therapy treatment programs. Students will also be able to assist with various forms of treatments such as range of motion exercises, massage treatments, ultrasound and other clinical procedures. Courses in this program include:

Introduction to Computers: 40 hours

Medical Billing, Insurance Coding and Medical Office Software: 80 hours

Medical Anatomy and Terminology: 60 hours

Introduction to Massage Therapy: 60 hours

Basic Massage Application and Techniques: 60 hours

Intro to Physical Therapy: 60 hours

Intro to Physical Therapy Evaluation: 60 hours

Therapeutic Exercise: 60 hours

Physical Agents and Modalities: 80 hours

Employment Preparation: 20 hours

Externship: 160 hours
